Worthing Golf Club Raises £5,936.86 For Worthing Veterans’ Charity

Worthing Golf Club were delighted to plan and subsequently host the 2020 Charity AM/AM in aid of the Captain’s annual charity ‘Care for Veterans’ based in Worthing.

128 competitors played on a staggered basis over 36 holes on both courses, and some ended up as drowned rats all in aid of our local veterans!
On the day, there were a number competitive games, some with spot prizes such as Nearest the Pin, as well as an auction, with some fantastic lots.
Care For Veterans are delighted to report that £4,936.83 was raised, plus Barclays Bank, care of Aidan Smith, provided a further £1,000 in ‘match funding’ bringing the final total to £5,936.83.

Christine Gillott sai:

“We are very proud to be the club captain’s chosen charity. It was a spectacular event and the club did an incredible job keeping everyone safe. We would like to say a huge thank you to all of those in attendance on the day.”
