As this Remembrance season draws to a close, we think back to the anniversaries this year for VE Day, VJ Day, and the Battle of Britain, but also remember the families of those who have given so much in recent years as well.
Janette and her family had a wonderful holiday in Spain in the summer, which brought back special memories of a previous trip with their late son;
“We went for a trip into Fuengirola, a place we took our son on a family holiday to the year before he joined the Army, so it holds many happy memories for us.”
The family loved every aspect of the resort with its different bars and restaurants, as especially enjoyed the pools –
“It was a joy to watch our grandson playing in the pool, and just lying in sun, resting up, did me the power of good”.
“They spent a VIP day at the Safari Club on the complex, appreciating the fruit platters, two course meal, and indulgent towels as part of the experience. “The resort was so peaceful and tranquil – it was amazing!”
Janette summed it all up by saying
“I can’t thank you all enough for the hard work and for the donors who provide this accommodation for families like us and our serving personnel to be able to get away for a break.
“The treasured memories we shared with our late son and now new ones with our grandson are priceless”
