Contract: 18 months fixed term contract (with likely extension)

Salary: £23852.50

Do you want to make a real difference to lives of people in both the emergency services and military community? Are you a confident, self-starter with welfare experience? We are looking for someone with great interpersonal skills, compassion and who is extremely motivated to join our team.

DMWS is an international charity that has been providing welfare support for over 75 years. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Welfare Officer to join our northern team, to support the military, emergency services and their families. In this role you will be based in Manchester supporting patients (both inpatient and outpatient) and those receiving treatment in community based health facilities. Although you are part of a supportive team, you are responsible for your own area and need to be able to work independently. All DMWS Welfare Officers need to be prepared to be mobile with access to a vehicle and deployable with the ability to cover other hospitals within the north as and when required.

In return, you will be working within a dynamic organisation, making a real difference and receiving great benefits including 30 days leave, plus bank holidays, enhanced sick pay, up to 6% matched pension contributions, death in service benefits and great training opportunities.
