DMWS – Welfare Officers (Nottinghamshire)

Salary: £23,500.00. Benefits package: 30 days leave and up to 6% matched pension contribution after six months.
Ideally candidates will live within commutable distance

DMWS is an international charity that has been providing welfare support to the Armed Forces  Community for over 70 years. We are also unique and remain the only military charity and civilian welfare organisation to deploy to areas of conflict to support our Armed Forces. We are now recruiting Welfare Officers in the above location to support the military veterans aged 65 years and over, their families and carers.

We are seeking confident self-starters who are compassionate with great inter-personal skills and whom can demonstrate a natural empathy for the Armed Forces.

Working as part of a team you will be supporting the military veteran’s community when they are in hospital (inpatient and outpatient), or receiving treatment in community based health facilities. The role involves, on a rota basis, out of hours and weekend emergency cover. All DMWS Welfare Officers are expected to be mobile and deployable.
