Since 2014, We Are With You (formerly Addaction) has supported over 500 veterans with problems related to drugs and alcohol through our pioneering Right Turn programme.
Right Turn is a veteran-specific substance misuse recovery model that acknowledges the specific experiences of people in the armed forces community and focuses on re-directing the comradeship that underpins military life towards supporting recovery. Amongst a range of opportunities, support comes in the form of specialist one-to-one sessions, peer-support groups, access/referral to prescribing services, and pathways to other veteran services.

Support for veterans with substance or alcohol misuse problems is available at any We Are With You service.

WAY is the only national charity in the UK for people aged 50 or under when their partner died. It’s a peer-to-peer support group run by a network of volunteers who have been bereaved at a young age themselves, so they understand exactly what other members are going through.

WAY was founded in 1997 and now has more than 2,800 members across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. WAY aims to provide peer-to-peer emotional and practical support to young widowed men and women – married or not, with or without children, whatever their sexual orientation – as they adjust to life after the death of their partner.

X-Forces Enterprise supports ex-armed forces and their families with enterprise skills across the UK.

We work with service-leavers, reservists, spouses, dependents, veterans and cadets, providing business planning support, government-backed funding, training, mentoring and on-going support.

We are passionate in our ambition to change the lives and career opportunities for the military community, and have, as of January 2020, lent over £17m in seed-funding and provided over 27,000 hours in training and support.

We work directly with various military charities to deliver enterprise training through business planning programmes to the military community. These programmes help those who are interested in setting up their own business acquire the tools and knowledge they need.
