Half Marathon Runners Raise Over £1,000 for Disabled Veterans

Three runners took on the Worthing Half Marathon on Sunday 12 February, in order to raise money for The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home (QAHH), which cares for disabled ex-Servicemen and women.

Andy Henry, Liam Tulett and Steve Tait-Bower all successfully completed last Sunday’s half marathon and, so far, they have collectively raised £1,230 for the Worthing-based charity.

Fashion Show Funds Care for Disabled Veterans

The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home (QAHH), on Boundary Road, Worthing, is organising a fabulous fashion show in April, to raise vital funds for their care and rehabilitation of disabled veterans.

The fashion show, on the evening of Thursday 6 April, will feature a range of fashions for all occasions and will start with fabulously glamorous evening and special occasion wear, courtesy of local dress boutique, Velvet Birdcage. There will also be outfits for work, leisure and day wear, including new, as-new, designer and vintage clothing, much of which has been kindly donated by QAHH supporters and will be for sale on the night, immediately after the Fashion Show, at sale prices.

Get fit and lean in 2017 for disabled veterans

Worthing-based charity, The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home (QAHH), is calling on local people to join their Worthing 10k running team, and help raise vital funds for disabled ex-Servicemen and women.
The Worthing 10k is one of the largest and friendliest running events in the south east, welcoming runners of all abilities to the flat seafront course on Sunday 4 June.

Seafarers UK donates £19,000 to disabled Naval Veterans at QAHH

A charity that helps people in the maritime community has donated £19,000 to The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home (QAHH) in Worthing, which provides care and rehabilitation to ex-Servicemen and women.

Seafarers UK has donated the money towards physiotherapy for the former seafaring residents who live at QAHH. This donation will help these veterans to increase their mobility and independence throughout 2017.

Naval charity donates £20,000 to help disabled veterans

The Worthing-based Queen Alexandra Hospital Home (QAHH) has been awarded a grant of £20,000 from The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity and Greenwich Hospital.

The grant is towards the costs of delivering a tailored rehabilitation programme to disabled Royal Navy and Royal Marines Veterans and their dependants. The rehab services included in the grant are: Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Social and Recreational activities, Neuropsychologist, Chaplaincy and Mini-Ambulance service.
