Read moreRemembrance Sunday saw a contingent of veterans and their carers parade at the Cenotaph as part of the National Remembrance Sunday commemorations. As in past years our contingent was marshalled and cared for by Warrant Officer Baz Firth RN.
Read moreRNAS 1710 recently hosted two veterans and the Chairman of the Spirit of Normandy Trust at Southwick House the Allied Headquarters for the D Day Landings. Patrick Thomas and Wally Beall were able to visit the famous map room where the D Day map wall still portrays the situation at H Hour on D Day. They were both looked after very well my the Royal Navy and the Royal Military Police, who are now based at Southwick Park.

Read moreFollowing our previous Autumn get-togethers, plans are taking shape for a Reunion for Normandy Veterans again this Autumn. This year we are planning the event in Portsmouth to be held over the weekend Friday 29th September through to Sunday 1st October.
It will commence with a get-together with a light buffet supper in the Engine Room Bar, Royal Maritime Club, Portsmouth – 1900hrs on the Friday evening 29th September.
