Tidworth Job Fair 2017 – Wednesday 15 March

Headquarters South West will be running a Job Fair in Tidworth Garrison Theatre on Wednesday 15 March 2017. At the event will be over 45 regional and national employers, as well as recruitment agencies who are specifically looking to recruit Service Leavers, Veterans and Spouses. A wide variety of industry sectors will be represented, including (but not exclusively): health, care, construction, transport, communications, tourism & leisure, manufacturing, bio sciences & pharmaceutical, finance and defence.

AFF and Manpower offer employability boost to Army spouses and partners

The Army Families Federation (AFF) is proud to announce its latest initiative in support of spousal employment, in partnership with workforce experts Manpower.

The military charity is bringing Army families accessible employability advice and support at a local level with the help of Manpower. Sessions will take place every other Thursday at the Beeches Centre in Bulford, Salisbury, from the 9 February, and will be held during the regular coffee mornings at the centre, which will continue as normal. AFF is keen to make these sessions as inclusive and family friendly as they can and are encouraging those attending to bring their children with them.

2017 New Year’s Honour For NFA Entertainments Officer

We are delighted that our Entertainments Officer Dougie Squires was recently awarded the MVO for his services to choreography and stage direction of royal pageants. Dougie arranges the entertainment at our annual Christmas Tea Party at St. James’s Palace and is well known for his work in television from the mid-1950s.

Oliver aims for Europe

The RAF Association supports people in reaching their goals, whatever they may be. Wing Commander Steve Wood, Officer Commanding Base Support Wing at RAF Leeming got in touch when his son needed some support to achieve his dreams.

Aged 18, Oliver wants to become a top triathlete, and has worked incredibly hard, being selected to represent Team GB in the 2016 Sprint Distance Duathlon European Championships in Kalkar, Germany
