Recruit for Spouses’ Lisa Grieveson – receives award at the Resolution Dinner

Congratulations to our ‘Recruit for Spouses’ (RfS) representative north of the border in Helensburgh, Lisa Grieveson, who was recognised with a special award at the 2017 Resolution Dinner – the submarine ‘Oscars’ – last night, Thursday 5th October. An inaugural awards event hosted by Rear Admiral Submarines on board HMS Neptune, the all-ranks dinner celebrated outstanding performances, both team and individual, in a range of Service categories.

Lisa’s accolade, the Recognition Award, sponsored by the Navy Families Federation (NFF), exists to honour inspiring individuals who have gone above and beyond in support of the Naval community. Whether representing her Patch on the Estates Committee, volunteering at families’ events or securing backing from the wife of the Admiral in her role for RfS, Lisa is ever-present in the community. Since joining the ‘Recruit for Spouses’ team in April, Lisa has set up the branch office at Trident House in Helensburgh, attended events and signed more than 100 military spouses onto our books.

Mark Harris of NFF Scotland says: “Lisa is a prime example of our industrious and talented Service spouses. She can turn her hand to many things, and approaches them with determination and a smile on her face. She exemplifies why employers should be actively seeking to employ service spouses throughout the UK.”

Taking time out from her busy schedule to enjoy the evening, Lisa was delighted to receive public recognition for her role: “I am overjoyed to receive this award, especially when it’s linked to my work with an amazing company of which I feel so privileged to be a part. I’ve never worked in this type of industry before, yet here I am going from strength to strength. I love my job and I love being part of the team that helps our military spouses get back into the workplace,” she says.

The Resolution Dinner was sponsored and run by the British Forces Foundation with the generous support of the Donald Gosling Foundation and Rolls Royce.
