The 10th annual Soldiering On Awards: celebrating the military community in a slightly different way!

The Soldiering On Awards 2020 (SOA2020) will still take place; between 21 September and 9 October SOA2020 winners will be announced via a series of video conferences, one per award category, with finalists, category sponsors and honoured guests.

The Gala Dinner, which had been scheduled for the 2 October, has now been cancelled. To give the series of video conferences more of an ‘awards ceremony feel’ there will be a commemorative brochure and the category videos which would have been played on the night will also feature. As the winners find out, the news will be simultaneously shared across social media channels.

Towards the end of this year, there will also be a formal presentation to each winner, details to be announced in the coming months. As well as this, every SOA2020 finalist has been invited to attend and will be celebrated at the 2021 Soldiering On Awards Gala Dinner.

The 2020 Awards mark SOA’s 10th anniversary and the first full awards cycle since becoming part of X-Forces Enterprise (XFE). During those 10 years, over 120 winners, teams, charities, businesses and animal partners, across a range of categories along with countless more finalists, have been recognised for their outstanding contribution to the Military Community.

Lt Colonel Ren Kapur MBE, CEO of X-Forces Enterprise and Co-Chair of the Soldering On Awards said:

“While nothing can properly replace the excitement and atmosphere of the actual event, in these challenging times it was incredibly important to celebrate our finalists while keeping everyone as safe as possible.

“This wasn’t quite what we had envisioned for our 10th anniversary! But we are working carefully with the finalists, judges, sponsors and VIPs to make sure that everyone’s experience this year is as special as we can possibly make it.”
