#VoteCricket – Inter-Services Twenty20 Cricket Tournament – 8th June at Lord’s

First held in 2005 at the Army Cricket Ground at Aldershot, this is the 8th year that the Inter Services T20 has been hosted by the MCC at Lord’s. Each of the armed forces senior XIs plays two TWENTY20 games during the single day tournament.

The Inter Services Twenty20 (IST20) Tournament is a triangular competition between the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force senior XI sides and is fiercely competed. Local studio support wounded veteran photography competition

Members of limbless veterans’ charity Blesma have been encouraged to submit images taken on anything from a mobile phone to a professional DSLR to a local professional photography studio for the chance to have their images displayed to the public.

The entries were judged by Chief Executive of Blesma, Barry Le Grys MBE, and head photographer at Verdi Studios, Kirsty Verdi.

Blesma, The Limbless Veterans chosen as Inter-services T20 cricket charity for Lords showdown

Military charity Blesma, The Limbless Veterans are very proud to announce that they will be the Inter-services T20 Cricket charity of the year for this year’s tournament.

The round-robin series between the British Army, the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force will be held on Thursday 08 June at Lords Cricket Ground in north London.

Invictus Games athlete takes on London Marathon in aid of Military Charities

Luke Delahunty, 44, from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire is taking on the London Marathon to give back to three charities that have helped him after injury; Blesma, the Limbless Veterans, Help for Heroes and RAF Benevolent Fund.

On 3rd October 1996, Luke was serving in the RAF when he was involved in a road traffic accident. The accident resulted in Luke being paralysed from the chest down.

RAF pair take on London Marathon to support wounded veterans

Two RAF personnel are taking on the London Marathon to support Military Charity, Blesma, the Limbless Veterans.

Sergeant Dai Smoldon, 44, from Watton, Norfolk and Corporal Dickie Baker, 28, from Upton, Norfolk are taking on the 26.2 mile challenge after hearing about Blesma’s work through a friend who has benefited from their support.

Blesma’s Grand Prize Draw Launch – Support our wounded veterans and you could win £1,000

Blesma is pleased to announce the launch of the Blesma Grand Prize Draw on 23 March which is back for its third year as part of the annual fundraising initiative Blesma Week.

Blesma Week is a national week of fundraising and awareness-raising which takes place during the first week in June when communities and companies around the UK get involved by joining Blesma challenge events and organising their own fundraising events.

Afghanistan veteran takes on Nuclear races for Military Charity 

A former solider, who lost his right leg whilst serving in Afghanistan, is taking on his first mud run since he was injured to support Blesma, the Limbless Veterans.

Matty Woollard, 28, from Colchester, will battle the muddy obstacle course at Nuclear Races, Brentwood in May in support of Blesma for the help they have given him since he was injured.

An Iraq War Veteran is set to battle a gruelling muddy obstacle race for Military Charity

Hannah Campbell, who was injured whilst serving in Iraq, is taking on the Nuclear Races this May to help raise awareness for Military Charity, Blesma, the Limbless Veterans.

Blesma are partnering with Nuclear Races in Brentwood for their award winning fun, tough and gritty obstacle race on 13 May. With a Blesma dedicated wave at 12:40 and 500 places to fill, wounded Veterans are asking you to take part alongside them to complete this gruelling 7k race.
