Over the weekend of 21/22 May, 20 former Future for Heroes delegates-now-volunteers returned to Brathay to again support the annual Brathay Windermere Marathon: probably the prettiest but definitely not the flattest road marathon in UK. Acting as race marshals and handing out drinks, huge vocal support and encouragement to the tiring runners at the last 3 water-stations (why do we always get the last 3?) our volunteers provided fantastic support to Brathay. It also gave the opportunity for revision and recap of activities from their own courses, share their experiences, meet up with old mates and forge new friendships. An excellent 3 days. Many thanks to Brathay and all who made it to The Lakes for the refresher weekend.
