The CEO of F4H and The Brathay Trust’s Senior Learning and Development Consultant had the honour of being invited to RAF Halton to witness the latest recruit Graduation Parade. It was a moving and humbling experience, bringing back memories from May 1983 for this particular individual! It was a privilege to share the obvious pride and joy being shown by so many Mums, Dads, friends and families as their sons and daughters began their careers in the RAF. Many thanks to Station Commander RAF Halton for his hospitality.
F4H’s courses are run at Brathay in The Lake District and offer support to the minority of leavers and veterans who at the end of their military careers may find returning to Civvy Street a challenge. For many years Brathay has had a close relationship with RAF Halton’s Training Wing, but this has now extended to individual trainers on Recruit Training Squadron and Airmen’s Command Squadron (ACS) giving up their time to support each of our courses. The benefits are numerous with much cross-pollination of ideas, experience, presentational techniques and understanding and awareness of command and management challenges. Importantly though, our delegates benefit. Thanks of course to Officer Commanding and Warrant Officer ACS who make the support to F4H and this visit happen.
