DMWS – Welfare Officer

Salary: £23,500 plus cost of living allowance

Location: Episkopi, Cyprus

Accommodation: Single accommodation provision

Benefits Package: 30 days leave plus up to 6% matched pension contribution following successful completion of the six months’ probation period

DMWS is an international charity that has been providing welfare support to the Armed Forces Community for over 75 years. We are also unique and remain the only military charity and civilian welfare organisation to deploy to areas of conflict to support our Armed Forces.

We are seeking a confident self-starter who is compassionate with great inter-personal skills and who can demonstrate a natural empathy for the Armed Forces. Applicants must be Fluent in English and Greek (speaking, listening, reading and writing) at Level 3 as defined by the NATO STANAG 6001 Scale, as a minimum.

Working as part of a team you will be supporting Service personnel, veterans and their families when they are in hospital, rehabilitation or recovery centres.  The role involves, on a rota basis, out of hours and weekend emergency cover.  All DMWS Welfare Officers are expected to be mobile and deployable.
