Read moreThe NFA are busily preparing for their annual Summer Garden Party at Buckingham Palace, which will be hosted by HRH Prince Henry of Wales. His Royal Highness will meet veterans from several conflicts including (but not limited to) WW2, The Falklands War, Northern Ireland, Sierra Leone, Iraq and Afghanistan.

This popular annual outing gives guests the opportunity to socialise with like-minded people for a few hours and, judging by the smiles and laughter, everyone soon got to know each other.

Despite the heavy rain more than 140 people took part, with half completing the full 10-mile walk and the others taking the 5-mile option (perhaps because of the weather!)

Fishing is not just the biggest participation sport in the world, it can also be hugely beneficial for service men and women recovering from injury. Research has shown that fishing can reduce the symptoms of PTSD amongst veterans; it can also help with their emotional, psychological and physical rehabilitation.

In doing so, they officially became ‘Finishers’ of the 32nd instalment of the famous endurance race, which sees competitors cross over 250km of the Moroccan Sahara Desert in just 6 days.
Read moreAfter four days in the Sahara Desert, NFA Head of Events Rosie Thompson and beneficiary Martin Wilson have covered 189 of the 270 kilometre Marathon des Sables course. The most recent stage (Thursday) saw them cover 81.5 kilometres in 36 hours and they are due to complete their epic journey on Sunday.

Andrea Farrell, a broker in the Corporate Division of Lark Insurance who are one of The Not Forgotten Association’s major corporate supporters, is taking part in the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon to raise funds for the charity.
Explaining what inspired her to take on this challenge, Andrea said: “I became aware of the NFA’s work through my participation on the charity committee at Lark Group, as they are our company chosen charity.
Read moreWith just seven days to go before she flies to Morocco on April 7th to take part in the gruelling 270 kilometre Marathon des Sables, NFA Head of Events Rosie Thompson is putting the final touches to her pre-race preparations.
We are delighted to announce that her fundraising total – all of which will be used to help provide events and activities for injured service men and women – now stands at more than £20,000. Rosie has been overwhelmed with the support and interest she has received and would like to wish all those undertaking the event for other service charities the best of luck.
