The NFA have just completed a whirlwind couple of weeks at Olympia as the Ideal Home Show’s Official Charity Partner. Nominated for the role by the fabulous Annie Riley of the Swingtime Sweethearts, we were joined by nearly 300 volunteers from 17th March – 2nd April who between them collected a phenomenal £17,318.35! The whole team worked tirelessly and demonstrated just how lucky the NFA are to have such loyal supporters and friends.

Four RAF Officers have entered the GODZone Adventure Race as part of its centenary celebrations, being formed towards the end of the First World War on 1st April 1918. In recognition of the occasion, the race organisers decided that the team number is 100. Christmas came early today for members of the SSAFA Veteran’s Lunch Club. Professional chefs armed with roast turkey and all of the trimmings descended to serve up a large helping of seasonal goodwill. The Lunch Club welcomed over 60 veterans in for the special event, making it a real calendar highlight.
In the true spirit of Christmas, the entire meal was donated by ESS, Support Services Worldwide, part of Compass Group, to say thank you for their service to our nation.

Organised this year by the RAF Triathlon Association, the Army, Navy and RAF will compete at the annual event in the end of July. There are individual and team categories, including Male, Female and Veteran. In addition to the Armed Forces, the Emergency Services and the OA will each enter guest teams to compete.
Read moreThe OA will work with the Royal Navy Cricket Club (RNCC) to support the development and promotion of cricket across the Naval Service and specifically women’s cricket, in the form of a three year sponsorship agreement.
Sponsorship from the OA will be used to purchase RNCC Women’s Team clothing and equipment, supporting RNCC and UKAFCA cricket events and assisting in the development of women’s cricket across the service through professional coaching.
