The successful candidate:

As an Addictions Case Administrator, you will at times be the first point of contact. You will be required to undertake a range of administrative duties. A proven working background in office administration is required for this position.

Primary roles

  • Assist planning of educational programme in partnership with Addiction Nurse Specialist (ANS)
  • Be responsible for the initial non clinical assessment of beneficiaries who have submitted a website referral for specific addiction support.  Complete case recording tasks for all new referrals
  • Create, update and maintain case records in the appropriate confidential area within or CRM system
  • Liaise with veterans and signpost to other pillars of delivery if required
  • Assist in delivery of holistic assessments and case recording
  • Creating and updating work plans in support of patient recovery
  • Supporting the ANS in recovery care plans to include regular contact with beneficiaries in support of their continued recovery
  • Provide non-clinical advice, information and guidance directly to patients/beneficiaries
  • Take messages from patients and supporting organisations and update records
  • Strengthening engagement of the beneficiary in need
  • Promoting the Health & Well-Being team values and mission statement
  • Collaboration with other internal delivery pillars and external support services
  • Case recording administration as directed by ANS or casework and development manager
  • Maintaining statistical reports and analysis as directed
  • Attend Case Discussions, Case Closure and Allocations meetings
Skills and Knowledge:

  • Extensive background in administrative support
  • Able to display empathy and compassion to all SUs in a non-judgemental manner
  • Holistic – empowering positive wellbeing and providing outstanding and innovative services – best possible outcomes for beneficiary
  • Experience and understanding of both serving and veteran challenges
  • Proven record of ability to work with a wider team as well as being comfortably with autonomy
  • Dynamic nature and good communicator
  • Professional attitude
  • Ability to work in challenging environments under pressure
  • IT literate to include Microsoft OFFICE 365 (Outlook diary management) and MS Dynamics
  • Working knowledge and understanding of current GDPR legislation
  • A desired understanding of care-planning processes and Models of Care within mental health
  • Knowledge of group and individual therapy and an understanding of risk management

Experience of working with vulnerable people whom are undergoing a period of crisis

Salary and Benefits

  • Initially 1-year fixed term with a view to a long-term position becoming available
  • Hours 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday
  • £21,000 per annum starting salary (working within a pay banding structure)
  • Plymouth based. Exeter based hybrid working would be considered for the right candidate. Understanding that travel to Plymouth will occasionally be required.
