The Role
We are seeking an Area Volunteering Development Officer to act as the first point of contact for Volunteers within the East Midlands Area.
You will have a passion for supporting and engaging volunteers, promoting all volunteer opportunities including delivering all recruitment and retention activities.
You will have an understanding of volunteer management, working with people, building relationships and managing performance. You will ensure new volunteers have a good quality induction into the learning programme and support them to operational readiness.
This position calls for strong influencing and communications skills as well as excellent planning and organisation skills. You must be a proactive self-starter, able to work unsupervised and have the ability to work well within the changing demands of a project.
In addition a Full UK Driving Licence is essential as regular travel across the East Midlands Area is required.
This role is fixed-term for 2 years.
