The Royal British Legion – Head of Armed Forces Engagement


The role of the Armed Forces Engagement team is to raise awareness and engage, influence and inspire serving personnel about the Royal British Legion and the ways we support the Armed Forces. 

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Marketing, The Head of Armed Forces Engagement will develop a strategy to increase understanding of work of the Legion amongst the Service community and build the Legion’s relevance and reputation. You will also provide a source of expertise and support for colleagues in the execution of Armed Forces engagement plans.

A confident and clear thinking leader, you will have:

  • Recent (5 years) Armed Forces or MOD background
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a marketing or communications role including developing strategy. Additionally experience of digital marketing is desired.
  • Experience of managing a team and budget.
  • Demonstrable practice in developing strategy and implementing new services, events and activities to engage a diverse group of potential advocates
