An opportunity has arisen for a part time Divisional Secretary in the Sunderland Division of the Tyne & Wear Branch of SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity.
About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated person who will ensure the efficient day to day running of the Division and provide administrative support to the Divisional volunteers, submit statistical returns and other reports to the Branch Secretary. The post is based in the Branch Office in Newcastle with the Branch Secretary and other Divisional Managers. You will be required to carry out casework in Sunderland and to support caseworkers in the Division.
Requirements
To carry out this role you will have been educated to GCSE Level or equivalent, including Maths and English and have proven administrative experience with solid IT skills. You must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with a wide range of people; have excellent organisational and time management skills. Personal qualities require you to be non-judgemental, a good listener with strong interpersonal skills and empathy with the military and veteran community.
