20 Hours

Norton House Stanford Hall (NHSH), Stanford on Soar

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a part-time Housekeeper to join the Norton House staff team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, has been providing practical, emotional, and financial support to our Forces and their families since 1885. Last year our teams of volunteers and employees helped more than 79,000 people in need, from Second World War veterans to those who have served in more recent conflicts or are still currently serving, and their families.

SSAFA understands that behind every uniform is a person. We are here for that person – any time they need us, in any way they need us, for as long as they need us.

About the role

Norton House Stanford Hall is a large 8-bedroom home for families visiting injured servicemen and women undergoing rehabilitation at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Stanford Hall, near Loughborough. The home operates 24/7 and is open 365 days of the year.

The residents are the next of kin or main support network of their loved one receiving treatment at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre. The staff members work individually and as part of a team to provide the necessary support to the families in residence.

It may be possible to arrange working hours around existing caring responsibilities.
