We are currently seeking a Research and Content Development Officer to join the Marketing and Communications team at the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity. This is a new role based in the PR Team, which will work closely across SSAFA’s key service areas and volunteer network.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of PR, this role has two core functions:
Research
You will be supporting the management of the existing portfolio of research and insight across the organisation and building up awareness of the research programmes across the Military Charity sector. As well as supporting on commissioning research, you will also assist the Head of PR in translating the research into meaningful public awareness opportunities and drive forward SSAFA’s research reputation across the military sector.
Content development
You will be ensuring the development of expert voice and driving forward the SSAFA brand, by creating exciting and innovative content that will be seeded across PR and wider marketing / digital channels. You will also be contributing to team creative planning sessions for delivery of integrated campaigns across the year.
Requirements
To carry out this role successfully you will have:
• Degree or equivalent experience
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Experience working in a busy marketing or PR Team
• Strong ability to build relationships and talk openly across the organisation including beneficiaries, volunteers and fundraisers
• Experience of managing projects and/ or research programmes
