SSVC – Training Coordinator

We are looking for a coordinator and assistant to our Director of Training and Defence Relations to support him on SSVC’s training business, the Forces Media Academy, defence and government relations, and stakeholder engagement.

Day to day responsibilities will include the following:

  • Being the lead point of contact for the training business, assisting with course design work, managing the bookings process, developing course programmes, booking instructors and designing course marketing material and folders, as well as assisting in the development of new training courses.
  • Acting as the link between The Forces Media Academy and existing courses, assisting with course design work, and providing general assistance to The Forces Media Academy as and when required.
  • Acting as the key co-ordinator of Salesforce, conducting data population and management, and assisting with stakeholder engagement plans and databases.  Assisting with sales and marketing brochures as required and assisting with SSVC’s annual Capability Day planning and execution.
  • Developing strong working relationships with all business unit coordinators and admin personnel, having a good working knowledge of all areas of the SSVC business.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, the ability to engage effectively with clients and external stakeholders and communicate with people at all levels, and the ability to act on their own initiative and use sound business judgement.  You will ideally have a working knowledge of media and broadcasting, and possess a strong interest in both the Armed Forces and media communications.
