Haig Housing Trust (HHT) is the largest veterans housing charity with a presence across the whole UK. We own over 1500 properties in a mix of small estates, where we work to build communities that allow people to live rewarding lives. We will celebrate our centenary in 2028 and intend to develop our estate for the next 100 years to provide for the veterans of the future. With a supportive and engaged Board, we are growing the executive team that will deliver on that intent.

Put simply, this role is about leadership: dynamic, inspirational and outcome focused. Answerable to the CE for the outputs of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the post holder will deliver real impact for beneficiaries by coordinating work across the charity. We are on an ambitious growth trajectory and want someone who can combine the day-to-day management of teams with the strategic capability to create new opportunities. About the job

– Lead colleagues collaboratively by personal example to deliver Strategic Objectives
– Coordinate SLT and wider activity to support CE & Board, inc effective risk management
– Lead effective day-to-day housing operations bringing comprehensive specialist knowledge to bear
– Plan for the future – housing development, finance, supporting systems & enabling policies

– Deliver Business Plan goals: budgets, repairs & maintenance and development
– Ensure compliance & discharge of all legal, regulatory, charitable & reporting requirements

Experience – extensive senior knowledge of housing law, regulation, compliance & operations

– Outstanding senior leadership skills, able to inspire & grow team performance

– Senior experience in UK housing management with exemplary professional knowledge
– Incisive analysis that delivers high quality work against taut deadlines

– Clear ability to deliver outcomes within legal frameworks and legislation
