BFBS – Trainee Broadcast Technician

Join our News Operations team as a Trainee Broadcast Technician, where you’ll support a wide range of technical and operational activities across BFBS News and Sports production in the UK and overseas. This varied role will see you assisting with day‑to‑day newsroom system operations, managing media traffic workflows, supporting gallery operations, contributing to outside broadcasts, and helping maintain and coordinate ENG equipment. You’ll work closely with technical, production, and editorial teams, providing dependable operational support across multiple parts of the broadcast workflow. We’re looking for someone with strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach—someone ready to learn, contribute, and take on a diverse mix of tasks within a collaborative broadcast environment.

This role includes practical technical tasks in studio and outside broadcast environments, which may involve equipment handling, working outdoors, and movement within live operational spaces.
