ABF The Soldiers’ Charity – Chief Executive

London

Competitive Package

Exclusively retained by ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, The List seeks initial expressions of interest from outstanding, highly motivated and talented individuals for appointment as the Chief Executive of the charity in the autumn of 2021.

This demanding position lies at the very heart of the national charity of the British Army, providing a lifetime of support to soldiers, veterans and their families when they are in need.  The successful candidate is likely to have experience at least at 2* level in the Army or possibly leading a major charity, public sector organisation or similar – at broadly the same level.   Not least he or she will bring a wide and varied range of experience to bear at an appropriate senior level.

Initial expressions of interest should consist of an up-to-date CV – albeit largely generic at this early stage – along with a brief cover e-mail outlining your interest and broad availability.  This should be sent to the MD of The List (Iain Campbell) using this e-mail address: charityceo@thelistuk.com.

Applicants can expect to be taken through a deliberate List process of an initial sift, followed by the release of the JD and person specification, List screening interviews and assessments to arrive at a long list of highly suitable candidates for submission, to the Trustees of the charity, in about mid-March.

No matter how well you might know the charity, its officers and staff or Trustees, at this stage potential applicants are specifically asked not to make an approach to the charity or individuals thereof – you will simply be referred to The List.
