The Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) is the Army’s national charity, supporting soldiers, veterans, and their immediate families in times of need.

The Events and Corporate Fundraising Assistant is an exciting role in ABF supporting two of our key fundraising activities, including partnerships with major companies and major national events. Under the organisation’s 4-year plan there are ambitious targets for growth in these areas and the assistant role has a real opportunity to develop with the plan, enabling the post holder to take more responsibility for elements of event and relationship management. This position provides an opportunity to join a successful team, gain experience of the practicalities of account management and business development, and be involved with an exciting calendar of events across the country and overseas. A strong administrative foundation, coupled with a determination to succeed, will be essential to success in this varied and challenging position.

The starting salary is £27,000. After a probationary period of 6 months, the successful candidate will benefit from the Charity’s full range of employment benefits including an income protection scheme and an employer contribution pension. There will also be opportunities to participate in key Charity events and activities with a TOIL scheme in place.

This is a full-time post for 35 hours per week, based at the Charity’s National Office in Victoria, London. The Charity currently operates a hybrid/flexi working pattern, with a MINIMUM of two days a week in the office required.
