Mark Ormrod gave an inspiring talk about his recovery and his quest to help others achieve their goals at a unique Blesma awareness and fundraising event on board HMS Belfast last September.
The former Royal Marines Commando, who was twice pronounced dead after his battlefield injuries, spoke movingly to a group of key supporters and potential donors on the iconic museum ship.
Chairman Ed Davis CB CBE introduced Mark to the audience, who were also told about the range of support Blesma provides to its Members and their families.
“Our first event on HMS Belfast brought together a number of key supporters and pledgers, who heard Mark’s inspiring talk of his experiences and how Blesma has supported him ever since he was first injured,” said Alastair Acton Roberts, Legacy Marketing and Individual Giving Manager at Blesma. “His talk, and the afternoon tea, were both well received.”
