Free tickets are now available for Chepstow Military Race Day, taking place on Wednesday 5 November 2025 in aid of Armed Forces charities including SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, The Royal Hospital Chelsea, and Combat Stress.
A highlight in the Welsh racing calendar since 2013, the event brings together the Armed Forces community, supporters and racegoers for a day of sport and fundraising. Since its launch, it has raised more than £300,000 for Armed Forces charities supporting serving personnel, veterans and their families. Chepstow Racecourse will be offering free entry to all past and present members of the Armed Forces.
This year’s programme includes the first Chepstow Military Drone Race Day on Tuesday 4 November, hosted in association with the British Army Drone Sport Association. The event will feature drone racing and live counter-drone demonstrations. Entry is free, with bucket collections taking place on the day to raise funds for the supported charities.
Julian Nettlefold, event founder, said:
“We look forward to welcoming the Armed Forces community to our Military Race Day – and the first ever Military Drone Race Day – this November. It promises to be a fantastic couple of days, all in support of brilliant charities doing vital work in our communities.”
