Your focus will be assisting with the smooth running of the Trust’s operations by providing administrative support to the Grants Team.  We are looking for someone who is highly organised with excellent administrative skills, strong written and verbal communication, a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for queries to the Trust from grant applicants and many grant holders, and will support the Grants team to manage all the different grant programmes that the Trust runs.  They will also support the Head of Risk and Compliance working on special pieces of work relating to risk and compliance.

Whilst we will of course provide training on our in-house grant system, as a remote working organisation we need you to be confident with technology such as Teams, Zoom and Microsoft Outlook as we use a mix of these for all our internal and external communications.

You will need to be self-motivated and be able to use initiative when responding to the diverse range of queries we receive on a daily basis, as well as being able to manage a range of conflicting priorities.

Knowledge of, a background in, or family affiliation to, the UK Armed Forces is not essential but is preferred.

Salary: £25,000-£28,000 per annum dependent on experience (plus pension contribution and other benefits).  This is a full time, permanent position.

This is a remote/home working position. This post may require very occasional attendance at meetings or events in London or elsewhere in the UK.

How to apply:  Applications should take the form of a letter (no more than two pages) providing evidence of how you meet the person specification, and a CV – both attached to an email addressed to giving the contact details for two professional referees and how you know them.  Please also confirm when you would expect to be able to start if your application is successful.

If shortlisted, you will be asked to complete a short assessment ahead of the interview, and then feed back your work during the interview itself.

Please include the wording Application for Grants Administrator in the email subject line.

  • Deadline for applications is 5pm Thursday 11 January
  • Shortlisted candidates will be advised ASAP, along with confirmation of when the pre-interview assessment will need to be submitted.
  • First interviews are likely to be via video call either late in the w/c 15 January, or early in the w/c 22 January.

Please note the Trust closes on Friday 21 December for the festive period, so we will not be able to respond to any queries about the post until 2 Jan.
