The Army Central Fund is delighted to announce a significant partnership with The Warrior Programme, having awarded the charity a grant of £200,000 to deliver their mental strength and resilience training to serving Army personnel and their immediate adult family members.
An intensive personal development programme, The Warrior Programme provides support to individual participants through foundation courses, which can be either residential or online, followed by 12 months ongoing support. Serving personnel are equipped with tools and techniques which help them improve their performance, increase their confidence and motivation to succeed, learn new ways of thinking and communicating, improve their prospects and identify and change limiting beliefs and obstacles. Adult family members are empowered to make personally informed decisions in their relationships, finances and career, helped to understand what’s important to them and to adopt techniques to achieve their goals, to improve self-awareness and communication, and to manage negative emotions, stress and anxiety.
Charlotte Cole, Chief Executive, The Warrior Programme, said:
“We are extremely grateful for the Army Central Fund’s commitment to The Warrior Programme and for the opportunity to extend our delivery to increased numbers of serving personnel and their family members. Evidence shows that our programme enables participants to transform their lives and futures. We look forward to continuing our partnership as we develop our services and support to meet the needs of the serving Army into the future.”

Caroline Crewe-Read, Director, Army Central Fund, added:
“The unique demands and challenges inherent to Service life can often make it difficult for serving personnel and their immediate families to manage their mental health and wellbeing. The Warrior Programme is designed specifically to help Armed Forces families navigate these challenges, to manage their emotions, and to develop the resilience, focus and motivation to succeed. The Army Central Fund is very pleased to support this work which dovetails with its mission of improving the physical, mental and social wellbeing of those in the service of the British Army.”
