About the role
The Senior Project Manager is a new role at AFF and will be responsible for scoping, delivering and evaluating the delivery of a tri-Service online information platform. The platform will enable military families to more easily identify the school, childcare, healthcare and housing situations in the areas they move to.
The Senior Project Manager will lead the delivery of this project from conception, ensuring that it is delivered to the agreed specification, budget and timeline. The Senior Project Manager will be the sole individual appointed to this project and AFF does not employ any other dedicated project management staff.
The post is part-time with flexible hours (25 per week) and paid on an hourly basis. The post holder will be home-based, but with two days per week to be worked from AFF Central Office in Andover (travel time and costs to/from the office to be covered by the post holder). The position is a fixed term position for two years and there is a possibility of extension.
What we’re looking for
The successful candidate will have proven and recent experience of leading projects in excess of £100k over at least two years and will have experience of managing diverse stakeholders with an understanding of the public and third sector. With first class organisation and communication skills, the successful candidate will be proficient with financial budgeting and management and will be skilled at building strong relationships.
