Royal British Veterans Enterprise (RBVE) is proud to announce that BAE Systems and Barratt Redrow will once again co-sponsor The Great Tommy Sleep Out, the national campaign uniting thousands across the UK to stand in solidarity with veterans facing homelessness.
Every March, individuals, businesses, and community groups brave the night by sleeping outside for one evening to raise awareness and vital funds. Last year’s campaign was a tremendous success, with record participation and impact, strengthening RBVE’s ability to create jobs, provide homes, and build communities for veterans.
This symbolic act fuels emergency housing, mental health support, employment pathways, and community connection for those who served. With the continued support of our sponsors and communities nationwide, The Great Tommy Sleep Out 2026 promises to build on that momentum and make an even greater difference.
Corporate champions standing together
BAE Systems continues its longstanding commitment to the Armed Forces community by sponsoring the campaign and encouraging colleagues at all levels to take part. Their participation reflects the company’s dedication to creating social impact.
Gillian Churchill, Group Head of Community Investment and Heritage at BAE Systems, said:
“Sleeping out for one night is a powerful reminder of the challenges too many veterans face every day, and The Great Tommy Sleep Out shines a light on a reality that should never be accepted. Supporting this campaign is part of our mission to ensure those who’ve served are never left behind, and I’m proud that we are supporting it for the third year running.”
Barratt Redrow is co-sponsoring for the second consecutive year, demonstrating their commitment to reducing veteran homelessness.
David Thomas, CEO of Barratt Redrow, commented:
“Barratt Redrow is proud to sponsor The Great Tommy Sleep Out again in 2026. We believe the entire housebuilding sector can play a vital role in reducing veteran homelessness, and we’re excited to continue supporting this important cause.”
RBVE Chief Executive Lisa Farmer added:
“No veteran should face homelessness after serving their country, yet too many still need help. The sponsorship and participation of BAE Systems and Barratt Redrow make a huge difference to the campaign’s reach and impact. We’re deeply grateful for their continued support.”
