BFBS – Broadcast Engineer

BFBS are responsible for providing broadcast and entertainment services to the British Forces serving in the UK and across the world, (we serve those who serve).

We have exciting role at the heart of our Technology Department based at our headquarters in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire. So, if you are keen to join our busy team of Broadcast Engineers in supporting linear and non-linear TV and radio production facilities, a lively news team and a variety of radio services and studios, then we need you!

This is not a role for those who prefer specialising in one part of a broadcast system as BFBS Technology is responsible for broadcast services across the entire broadcast chain, from the microphone and camera through to the audiences’ devices. We don’t expect you to be skilled on the entire systems as we’ll train and support you, but we’d like you to have an interest in all of them!

What we need

  • In depth understanding of Broadcast IT systems.
  • In depth understanding of broadcast radio production systems.
  • In depth understanding of TV playout system.
  • Understanding of cloud-based broadcast workflows.
  • Experience of system implementation and integration
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies.
  • Experience of implementing the technology supporting critical broadcast systems
  • Ability to creatively approach problems not covered by existing procedures.

Leave the mundane behind, embrace the excitement of working for a dynamic and global broadcaster and apply today.
