The former Rifelman in the British Armed Forces Craig Wood continues his epic adventure across the Pacific.
Craig has lost both his legs and his left hand in a blast in Afghanistan when he was just 8 years old. Now, he is determined to become the world’s first triple amputee to sail solo, non-stop, and unsupported for 7.000 miles.
One of Craig’s engines has seized during the crossing and will not be operable when entering into his planned arrival port. As such he has been advised by his ground team in Japan to re-route from Osaka port to Hiroshima port, as this will be a better point of entry to navigate safely into the port with only the one engine.
As he nears Japan, Craig estimates his arrival into Japan around mid-June.
