Building Heroes – General Manager

Building Heroes are a charity based in West Sussex with National training locations around the UK providing military veterans with construction skills and employment support.

We are seeking a General Manager who will be responsible for the efficient operation of the charity. The applicant will be an active individual in the charity leadership team. They will bring a passion for results, energy, and strong business acumen.

To be successful in this role, you should be a confident leader and a decision-maker who can monitor and mentor our team. Candidates will ideally have experience to manage HR, office administration and Finance functions including funding, grants and foundations for the charity. You will be detail orientated with strong analytical skills and a strong understanding of Microsoft packages. A military background, or knowledge of the third sector would be desirable.

The post holder will be based at head office in West Sussex with some travel to external meetings. Please see the attached job description and person specification for full details.

Salary: £34,000
Contract: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Head office
