Status: Permanent

Salary: Band 5, £28,692 – £35,113, per annum, dependent on experience, plus 5% Outer London Fringe Allowance

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

About Us:

Combat Stress is the UK’s leading mental health charity for veterans. For over a century we’ve been helping former servicemen and women deal with issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. Today we provide specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues related to their military service. We provide a range of community, outpatient and residential mental health services to veterans with complex mental health problems. We provide services in-person, and via phone and online.

About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planned Giving Officer to join our growing team. We are responsible for both legacy fundraising and administration as well as in memory giving. This is a real growth area in the fundraising team and one you will be part of.

You will be working with the Head of Planned Giving and the Senior Planned Giving Officer. This role will involve a certain amount of legal administration, saving data using SharePoint to comply with Charity Commission Guidelines. Also you will be helping with supporter enquiries and interactions. This is an exciting role as you will be part of the team who ensures supporters are aware of how vital gifts in Wills are as well as having the opportunity of helping with supporters who give in memory of a loved one.

About you:

You will be excited about the opportunity and will have a ‘can do’ attitude. You will be comfortable seeing when a task needs doing and taking the initiative. A kind telephone manner is essential as well a caring attitude. In return you will be part of something that makes a real difference to the lives of veterans.

This role is subject to a DBS check.
