Status: Permanent

Salary: Band 5, starting at £22,681 per annum dependent on experience, plus a 5% fringe allowance

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Based at our Head Office in Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 0BX

Combat Stress was established in 1919. We are the UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health. For almost a century, we’ve helped former servicemen and women deal with trauma-related mental health conditions like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression.

Today we provide UK-wide support to veterans from every service and every conflict, on the phone and online, in the community and at our treatment centres. We’re on a mission to raise awareness that invisible injuries can be just as hard to cope with as physical ones. So when a veteran is having a tough time, we’re there to help tackle the past and to take on the future.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Fundraising department as a Major Gifts Executive. You will sit within our Major Gift’s team, supporting in all areas of administration, i.e. coordinating thank you letters and mailings, prospect tracking, booking meetings. The role also involves providing high quality prospect research which is compliant with GDPR.

You will have experience of gathering and cross-referencing information from a wide range of sources, especially from online media and databases, along with at least six months experience in an administration role. Previous experience of working for charity is desirable but is not essential.

In addition, you will also have excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, and a strong attention to detail.
