The Caithness and Sutherland branch of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, is joining forces with Dornoch Firth Church of Scotland to host its first fundraising concert in Dornoch Cathedral on Saturday 13 September.
Doors will open to the public at 6:30pm before a performance by the Inverness Military Wives Choir begins at 7:00pm. The concert, lasting for about an hour, will feature songs from the choir’s eclectic repertoire of classic and modern choral music.
SSAFA Branch Chair William Sutherland commented:
“Anyone from the community is welcome to attend an evening that is sure to entertain, all while raising important funds for Dornoch Firth Churches and for our SSAFA branch.
“Set within the stunning walls of Dornoch Cathedral, the choir will perform a dazzling mix of songs, appealing to a range of musical tastes. It promises to be a memorable evening of music.”
Dornoch Cathedral is located on High Street, Dornoch, IV25 3SH. Entry is by donation, with a suggested minimum donation of £12 per person. Cash payments are preferred, but card payments can be accepted. For any further information about the concert, please email: sutherland.branch@ssafa.org.uk.
