Salary:  £33,199 to £38,460 p.a. pro rata

Part time:  22.5 hours per week

Fixed term contract:  Two years

About the role

In partnership with the Forces in Mind Trust (FiMT), our University has established a research centre to provide decision makers and opinion formers at all levels with the best available evidence on aspects pertaining to UK ex-Service personnel and their families. The FiMT Research Centre (FiMT RC) is embedded in the Veterans and Families Institute for Military Social Research (VFI); an institute with an international reputation and output. The VFI sits within the Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine & Social Care which itself has a track record in research that informs health and social care policy and practice.

Responsible to the Centre’s Director, you’ll create and manage the processes to measure activities, outputs and outcomes of the Centre and manage the associated engagement with stakeholders through a variety of media.

With a degree or part qualified relevant professional qualification and appropriate level of experience, you’ll be IT and media platform literate, confident in your communication abilities and able to use your initiative to meet objectives. You’ll have a proven track record managing project deliverables, report writing, working to tight deadlines, working independently with minimum supervision and liaising closely with senior people from a wide range of sectors.
