Following Fighting With Pride’s recent meeting with the FRS team, they have received details of progress to date:
- There are 1,263 Applicants for the Scheme (some for DD only, some for IP only and some for both)
- Of 952 DD applications received, 548 decisions have been made (58%)
- Of 1,002 IP applications received, 248 decisions have been made. (25%)
- A total of £26.7m has been paid out.
- Applications received into April 2025 are now being processed.
- The additional staff we campaigned for and the additional sittings of the Impact Panel are clearly proving worthwhile in accelerating the speed of resolutions.
- A small number of appeals have been made and a few of those have been accepted.
If you are considering making an appeal it is important to put as much information as possible in your application to ensure that everything you want say is in there.
