The Forces Employment Charity are looking for a highly motivated and suitably skilled senior manager to promote and execute high quality human resource delivery by planning, developing, and managing human resources programmes; directs own team and coaches/advises others across the business. Represents the HR department consistently and with professionalism across the whole organisation with confidence and skill.
This is a full-time position, 37 hours per week, based in London with remote working. This position has a competitive salary of £50,000- £55,000 depending on experience.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Lead the HR function effectively delegating to individual team members ensuring individual team members have goals and objectives with measurable outcomes.
- Initiate and drafts goals for the HR function and in consultation will agree these goals with senior leadership to ensure charity context and ongoing relevance.
- Drive ongoing performance management with all Forces Employment Charity staff, working with senior leaders/managers to ensure ongoing activities are consistent in their application across the business.
- Manage the whole HR employee lifecycle process.
- Manage Employee Relations issues including disputes, redundancy, absence and grievances.
- Ensure recruitment practices and behaviours are embedded and maintained both within the HR function and across the charity.
- Ensure appropriate vetting and disclosure compliance pan charity (initiation and periodic renewal of MOD Security Clearance, Non-Police Personnel Vetting, Enhanced DBS).
- Ensures HR data is up to date and produces accurate management reports (manually or from system) to ensure ongoing relevance of HR and/or business activities and drive re-prioritisation as appropriate.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
Essential Competencies:
- Held previous position of seniority, able to establish credibility and build department accountability
- Demonstrates business acumen – partners with senior leaders to deliver appropriate people strategies and has a good overall understanding of company finances and uses this to develop policies.
- Previous experience of working in a fast-paced HR team, providing first class HR support.
- Professionally qualified to CIPD Level 7 AND/OR a proven demonstrable and successful background in the HR generalist space.
Desirable Competencies:
- Professionally qualified – Degree educated
- Hands on experience with HR Management software.
- Contemporary knowledge of best practice trends and practices within HR.
