Forces Pension Society Charitable Fund – Trustees (London)

The Forces Pension Society Charitable Fund (FPSCF) is a small charity working closely with the Forces Pension Society. Its charitable objects are:

  1. The relief of widows, widowers, surviving qualifying cohabitants, surviving civil partners and surviving dependant relatives of members of the Forces Pension Society or of persons who served in the Armed Forces of the Crown (whether or not they were members of the Forces Pension Society) who are in need by virtue of financial hardship, sickness, disability or the effects of old age;
  2. Such other charitable purposes as the trustees may from time to time decide.

The Fund is seeking two new Trustees in 2018 to replace those who will have completed their tenure. The Trustees meet 4 times a year, generally in London. The role of Trustee is a voluntary role and unremunerated.

We are looking for Trustees who have Empathy with the charity’s objectives, general financial management skills and an understanding of Charity governance. Knowledge of the Armed Forces would be an advantage but is not essential.
