£60,000 – £64,000 per year
Portsmouth or London with travel and some home working

Our current Charity Director is retiring, and we are looking for her successor to lead a very successful and focused three-person team. Could that be you?

You will empathise with Greenwich Hospital’s mission and the personnel (past and present) of Royal Navy and their families – and ideally understand how the Navy works. You will have the ability to engage easily with Navy structures and personnel, especially on the welfare side. You’ll bring experience of best/modern charitable practice in grant giving, including reporting. You’ll be able to define and adapt our charity strategy and lead your team.

Greenwich Hospital has been providing support to serving and former Royal Navy and Royal Marine personnel and their families for over 325 years. Their wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do, as we aim to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of those in need of support. Founded in 1694, we are a unique Crown Charity and the oldest Royal Navy charity. Last year, we spent nearly £6m in grants and other charitable activity in areas including education, housing and employability.
