Job Purpose

The Business Analyst works with stakeholders from all business units and related third parties to define and document business processes and software requirements for technology initiatives, including online products, content management systems, and business information system.

Accountabilities

  • Successful delivery of project and other initiatives
  • Influence the business
  • Extract, Anticipate, Constrain , Organize, Translate, Safeguard, Simplify & Verify requirements
  • Ensure changes are briefed and trained into Service desk and adopted by business areas

Main Responsibilities

  • Document business requirements
  • Act as a consultant to business areas
  • Work with application development team
  • Training Staff
  • Advising stakeholders and senior management

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree or relevant experience

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Significant BA Experience
  • Full Project Development Lifecycle
  • Demonstrable ability to work on Multiple Projects simultaneously
  • Technical writing, creation of business requirements & other documents
  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills
  • Strong Written & Oral Communication Skills (across all levels of the organisation)
  • Experience of managing Business Transformation Projects
  • Solid MS Office skills including MS Project
  • Matrix Management
  • Managing 3rd party Software Houses

Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Business analysis accreditation, e.g. BCS/ISEB
  • Formal project management qualification e.g. PRINCE2 Practitioner, Agile Project Management certification
  • Familiarity with the Charity sector
