The Armed Forces Charity Sector has initiated a major change programme, which seeks to create a seamless beneficiary journey by developing and implementing a common Digital and Data Strategy for all charities across the Sector to support and improve the lives of those in need across the Armed Forces Community.
About the Role
We seek an experienced Project Manager to support delivery of the initial phase, which will cover research, discovery, and definition.
Based within Help for Heroes structure and funded by Cobseo, the role will be reporting directly to Melanie Waters, CEO, Help for Heroes, and will chart the environment within which the Digital and Data Strategy for the Armed Forces Charities Sector would operate and develop the programme for subsequent phases.
The purpose of the role is to engage with key stakeholders to define the ecosystem of support services which impacts the experience of those in the Armed Forces Community. You will play a fundamental part in preparing the ground for the development of the longer-term Digital & Data Strategy which is ambitious to make life easier for our community, enhancing the experience of all that the Military Charity Sector has to offer.
As the Project Manager, you will run the project on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Project Board, meeting the objectives and timeframes required. You will be required to:
- Prepare key project documents, including a detailed and costed phase 1 work plan
- Establish and lead a Project Team to meet phase 1 objectives
- Work with the Project Board to establish working groups of specialist Stakeholders to support key strands of work
- Manage the overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary
- Advising the Project Board of significant issues
- Prepare monthly reports and risk register for Project Board meetings
- Liaise with key Sector Stakeholders where appropriate
