At Help for Heroes, we believe those who serve our country deserve support when they are wounded. Every day, men and women have to leave their career in the Armed Forces as a result of physical or psychological wounds; their lives changed forever. We help them, and those still serving, to recover and get on with their lives. We give them physical, psychological, financial and welfare support for as long as they need it. We also support their families, because they too can be affected by their loved one’s wounds.
We receive almost no funding from the Government, which means we rely on the spirit and generosity of the great British public, our partners and volunteers to keep going. Rest assured, we continue to put pressure on the Government to do more.
So far, with your help, we have supported more than 25,000 people, but we know that many more still need us. We won’t stop until every wounded veteran gets the support they deserve.
We have an incredible opportunity for a Head of Individual Giving to join our team.

About You
Are you curious, inquisitive, and analytical? Strong and driven negotiator with at least 5 years’ experience of both developing and delivering individual giving strategies? Maybe you’re passionate about using data and insights to constantly improve customer journeys too and have a strong understanding of direct marketing principles and fundraising platforms and legislation. If you’re also a strong and dedicated leader able to motivate and guide your team then this is the role for you.
About the Role
In this role you will have a chance to lead our individual programmes and take a driver seat in the development of both existing and new propositions, products, audiences, channels, and technology to ensure long term loyalty and value. Thanks to our innovative spirit we are always on the lookout for new ways to add value, advance the way we fundraise and grow our active donor base, and you will have the space to act on these ideas and transform them into actual opportunities with the help of your team. In this role you will be part of the charity’s leadership team and will lead our IG, Legacy and Supporter Care Teams.
