We have an incredible opportunity for a Veterans Community Nurses to join our team based in the South. Please see below for more information on what just might be your future role.
About You
Are you a dynamic, positive, and determined Band 6 Registered Nurse (Adult) with experience or knowledge of working with the Armed Forces Community? Or maybe you are a Registered Nurse (Mental Health) with recent experience of working in the adult healthcare arena? Do you enjoy being agile and resourceful in supporting people to navigate their own healthcare pathways and appreciate the challenge of sourcing novel solutions and working collaboratively with others? Are you also empathetic and can quickly build rapport to understand our Veteran’s needs and expectations? And you would be happy to embrace a flexible work pattern to meet our veterans in their own homes and communities and represent Help for Heroes at outreach and educational events? Well then, this is the role for you.
About the Role
In this unique and exciting role, you will manage your own caseload working alongside and with the support of the team in your area. You will champion and seek in partnership with our veterans, personalised community healthcare solutions and act as their advocate when required. You will meet veterans in their own homes, communities, clinics and at Outreach events to provide case management and delivery of professional support as part of a Multidisciplinary Team as well as clinical advice and support to them and their families.

We are resourceful in finding ways to deliver what is right and fair for our veterans in the healthcare domain seeing the bigger picture, focusing on ideas that deliver the best results for our veterans and actively challenge, test, learn and adapt ideas, making them a reality.
