Heropreneurs – Marketing and Events Coordinator

Home Based, 20 Hours per Week (occasional travel required)

£21,000 Pro Rata Salary

This is an integral role within the Heropreneurs team, responsible for our digital presence and supporting our growing events programme. Reporting to the Marketing and Events Manager, you will be part of a small and dynamic team and involved in all aspects of our delivery. 

Celebrating 12 years of delivery in 2021, Heropreneurs are the only UK military charity delivering philanthropic support through mentoring to entrepreneurs in the UK Armed Forces family. This year is one of growth for our charity as we seek to build our community and sustain our delivery in the long term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scheduling of all social media channels (currently Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram) using content management software.

  • Website updates.

  • Production of quarterly newsletter.

  • Multi-source content creation.

  • Identify creative solutions to increase our online presence.

  • Virtual event support: creation of Eventbrite and Zoom events, attendee management and collation of feedback.

  • Liaise with CEO, Marketing Manager and Mentoring Programme Manager to identify content and support ongoing projects.

  • Interview beneficiaries to capture feedback and case studies.

  • Respond to enquiries made via social media and our website.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in creating content for and scheduling multiple social media channels essential.

  • Excellent written English.

  • Experience using Canva (or similar software).

  • Experience using social media scheduling software (such as Hootsuite, CoSchedule etc).

  • A highly motivated self-starter and problem solver.

  • Charity sector experience (desirable).

  • Knowledge of UK Armed Forces (desirable).
