HighGround CEO’s 850km fundraising cycle ride

Well, he’s been talking about it for months, and now CEO Jamie Crisp has set the date for an epic cycle ride that will visit locations important to the delivery of the HighGround programme.

The plan is to start on Wednesday 6 August from Bicton College, cycle to the DMRC Stanford Hall , then onto Sparsholt College in Hampshire, before heading west to finally finish back at Bicton College.

The details:

  • The target is under 5 days
  • On paper its close to 850Km – may go up if there’s poor navigation
  • All funds raised, will go directly to supporting beneficiaries HighGround  directly support
  • Actively raise wider awareness of HighGround
  • Advocate for the Armed Forces Covenant and champion the amazing skills a service leaver or veteran can bring to any organisation.

On his reason for undertaking this challenge, Jamie said:

“Over the course of my adult life I have completed many challenges, Marathons, Ultra Marathons, Triathlons and crazy long walks, but always for myself & just because. (Oh and I was a lot younger!)

“So in a moment of madness and just about to turn the young age of 56, I talked myself and Royal Navy veteran,  Henry Boyde into a long ride to raise funds for HighGround Charity.
